I've been writing for a few years and found that I have a taste for the gritty, ghostly, and morbid. There's no clear explanation for this other than my youth was spent watching Halloween, The Shining, The Exorcist, and anything else that could scare the hell out of me. When I got older, I preferred creepy mysteries and good crime dramas as opposed to gore and blood and slasher flicks.
